Well, since I’m running out of the naturally occurring big cats I thought I’d take a stab at some hybrids, though I do not condone man playing with nature and making their own for amusement.

I hope you enjoy my Liger

I went with a more obvious brush stroke on this one. I swing back and forth between low and high brush detail.…[Read more]

  • Bill Fleming uploaded a new picture: Cheetah 10 months, 3 weeks ago

I am really starting to enjoy painting the big cat portraits so here is another one. This cheetah is painted the same way as the Jaguar and Snow Bengal. I was fortunate to find some awesome cheetah reference online, including a few good orthographic pictures, which helped with determining proportions.

  • Bill Fleming uploaded a new picture: Jaguar 1 year ago

I thought I do another big cat. I plan on doing a series of the big cat head shots. I was able to find great reference for Jaguars the other day. One of which had a great depth of field and killer eyes so I thought I would do a similar approach with my Jaguar and I think it came out pretty cool. I hope you like it.

In reply to: Rene posted an update: @komodoempire Great work Bill, thanks for sharing. Best of luck with the new book. Let us know when you get a publish date. Have you thought about turning this series into an animated TV show? View

Thanks Rene. I actually developed the Goblin project back in 1997 to be a feature film project. It almost went into production then but my partner studio had just received the word their feature film and TV series project got the green light so Goblins went on the back burner, which was actually a good thing since the project has evolved into…[Read more]

This is Finger, the leader of the Merchant Goblin Clan. He is a very snobbish fellow and the founder of the first bank in the Goblin realm. He’s quite the dandy and unlike most other Goblins prides himself on his appearance. After all, the head of a bank must look respectable This piece is a combination of painting and photomanipulated elements.
