Just read the story on the new Comic-Con event. This brings up a good question. How successful have artists been in marketing at the Cons lately? Is it the best way to promote one’s work? I attended a few small regional events, and they seemed exciting. Are there other avenues that compare?

It really depends on the con. I haven’t tried to sell my illustrations (mostly do those on a commission basis or for my comic), but I have sold my masks at them. Some cons people go to to spend money, and some they do not. It’s really hard to tell which is which. You’ll probably do well at a large one like Comic Con, but then again the tables are awfully expensive.
